How I Applied What I learned in This Book

Paul’s books increased my ability to tell my own stories more effectively. Here’s my marketing story and sales story. It seems to me that stories are best when they’re authentic, even if they aren’t all that glamorous. In the future, I plan on checking out his storytelling workbook.


  1. There’s storytelling, then there’s business storytelling. I like the way Smith sees stories as leadership tools. Not only are the stories he describes good for the CEO, but also marketing, HR and operations. This book and his previous one, Sell With A Story, explain everything you need to know about telling the right stories well.
